Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Trackpile collects, how it's used, and the choices you have.
Last updated: August 20, 2026
Information we collect
Account info: your email address, a securely hashed password, and an optional display name. Content you add: the shows, movies, games, and action figures you track, along with watch status and ratings. Technical info: IP address, browser/device user agent, and session identifiers, used to keep you signed in and protect your account. From your IP address we also derive an approximate location — country and city, never a precise position — and show it on your Active sessions page, so you can recognise a sign-in that wasn't you.
Where show, movie, game, and figure data comes from
Titles, artwork, and schedules are fetched server-side from TMDB, AniList, IGDB, and SteamGridDB. Figure catalog data is compiled from publicly available manufacturer and retailer listings. We don't share your personal account information with these providers — we only query them for public catalog data on your behalf.
How we use your information
To provide the tracking service and sync your watch history across devices, to keep your account secure, to respond to support requests, and to send essential account emails like password resets. We don't use your data for advertising, and we don't sell your personal information.
Sharing
We don't share your personal data with third parties beyond what's needed to run Trackpile — our hosting provider, transactional email delivery, and (for Plus subscribers) a payment processor for billing. Each is bound to use your data only to provide that service.
Cookies
Trackpile uses a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your language, plus an optional analytics cookie if you accept it from the cookie banner. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Data retention & deletion
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. You can export your tracked data at any time from Settings, and delete your account and all associated data whenever you like from Settings.
Children's privacy
Trackpile is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Trackpile evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date at the top of this page.
