Getting started
- Create an account with an email address, or with Google or Apple. Email signups get a verification link — confirm it to finish.
- Open the tab for what you want to track — Shows, Movies, Games, or Figures — and use its Explore tab to search.
- Follow a show to put it on your Watch List, with its episodes in Upcoming.
- Mark episodes watched as you go. One tap marks an episode and moves you to the next.
Tracking shows and episodes
- Explore is where you search and browse. Watch List is what you're following, and where you are in each show.
- Upcoming lists every episode on the way from the shows you follow, grouped by air date.
- Marking an episode watched auto-advances to the next one. If you jump ahead, Trackpile offers to mark the episodes you skipped.
- Profile shows your stats and how your progress builds over time.
Importing from TV Time
TV Time shut down on 15 July 2026, and its export portal shut down with it. This works only if you downloaded your export zip before that date.
- Sign in, then go to Settings, then Data, then Import from TV Time.
- Upload the export zip — don't unzip it first. The zip is unpacked in your browser, so the archive itself never leaves your device.
- The import runs in the background and shows progress as it goes. Large accounts take a few minutes.
It brings over your watch history, the shows you follow, your custom lists, and your movies, and reports anything it couldn't match.
Backing up and restoring
Settings, then Data, then Export data downloads a JSON backup of your account. You choose what to include, and there's no limit on how often you do it.
Settings, then Data, then Import data takes that file back in, in one of two modes:
- Merge adds the backup on top of your current data.
- Replace clears your account first, then restores only the backup.
To move to a different account, export from the old one, register the new one, and import with Replace.
Your account
- Change your password under Security in Settings. If you've forgotten it, use the reset link on the sign-in page.
- Active sessions in Settings lists the devices signed in to your account, so you can sign out elsewhere.
- Change your language from Settings, or from the language picker at the bottom of any page on this site.
- Delete account, in the Danger zone at the bottom of Settings, removes your account and its data. Export first if you want a copy.
